5 Architecture student projects are selected to exhibit at the British Council SPARK Festival 2021

Island Peripheries - Towards a people-centric architecture and pluralistic urban communities is to showcase an exemplar selection of architectural projects that have been looking at providing creative solutions to real world issues (e.g. heritage preservation, social inclusion, environmental protection, post-pandemic community) in and around Hong Kong.  Projects of this exhibition have been authored by students of BA (Hons) Architecture of the Top-Up Degree programme co-delivered by HKDI and the University of Lincoln, UK.

The architectural ideas complete with high-quality drawings, 3- dimensional visuals, renders, along with physical models shall emphasise the important role architecture can play in protecting, enhancing and shaping a city’s built environment, whilst still keeping people and sustainability at the forefront. This exhibition aims at celebrating the richness of a diversify, pluralistic society and improving people’s awareness about sustainability and people-centric design.
