How can I submit an application?
Please refer to the application procedures.
How much is the application fee?
The application fee is $200. There is NO APPLICATION FEE for your first application submitted before the application deadline. For the terms and conditions, please refer to the Application Deadlines & Fees section.
How many programmes can I apply for?
You can apply for more than one programme with the same Online Application System account. However, you can only enjoy NO APPLICATION FEE for your first application submitted before the application deadline.
Please note that if you receive more than one offer from SHAPE, you can only choose to enrol in one programme.
How can I know my application status?
We will communicate with you by email throughout the admission period. You can always visit the Online Application System to manage your application(s) and offer(s).
Is there any admission interview?
While admission is mainly based on academic qualifications, selected applicants of some programmes may be required to attend an admission interview. Please refer to the Entry Requirements of each programme for details. Applicants who are required to attend an admission interview will be notified of the arrangement by email.
When will the application result be announced?
The schedule of application results announcement varies from programme to programme. Some programmes may issue the first batch of offer before the application deadline.
If you have fulfilled the minimum entrance requirements but yet to meet the selection criteria of the first batch offer, you will be put on the waitlist and be considered at a later stage.
Unsuccessful applicants will be notified before programme commencement.
How can I accept an offer?
Upon receiving a conditional or firm offer, you will be required to complete a reply slip via the Online Application System and pay a registration fee of $3,500 within 7 days. To enroll in a programme, you will be required to pay the 1st installment of tuition fee (less subsidy, if any) within 1 month before programme commencement.
Is the registration fee refundable?
The registration fee of $3,500 is non-refundable unless the programme is cancelled, or you have failed to meet the offer conditions before programme commencement with documentary proof.
Is the 1st installment of tuition fee refundable?
The 1st installment of tuition fee is non-refundable except under exceptional circumstances, which will be considered on a case-by-case basis. SHAPE reserves the right to accept or reject such applications.
What is the medium of instruction?
All programmes are taught and assessed in English, except the “BSc Degree Programme in Chinese Medicinal Pharmaceutics” programme which is taught in Putonghua.
Recognition and Subsidies
Which institution awards the graduation certificate?
All graduation certificates are awarded by the respective partner university which offered the top-up degree programme in collaboration with SHAPE. Academic matters and standard of the award are governed by the respective partner university.
Are SHAPE top-up degree programmes recognised by the HKSAR Government?
All of the UK and Australian top-up degree programmes offered at SHAPE are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) at Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF) Level 5, and are formally recognised by the HKSAR Government for employment purposes within the Civil Service for graduate posts. Graduates can also pursue further studies at Master’s Degree level.
