BSc (Hons) Architecture Studies students visited renowned architecture in Japan

Students from BSc (Hons) Architecture Studies, University of Central Lancashire, went on an overseas field trip to Japan led by SHAPE lecturers in May 2023. The 5-day trip explored the modern Japanese buildings designed by renowned architects, such as Shingonzon Honfukuji Mizudo by Tadao Ando, Kyoto Concert Hall by Shin Isozaki, JR Kyoto Station by Hiroshi Hara, Misu Museum of Art by I.M. Pei, and Osaka University of the Arts - Arts and Sciences Building by SANAA Architecture's, etc. Through the field trip, students were exposed to new ways of seeing and making, this experience  broadened their horizons and ignited their curiosity and desire to learn more about architecture.
