Featured projects as below:

1. UWE Bristol UK Campus Metaverse
Designed by students: FONG Hin Wing, NG Suet Sin, WONG Kap Fat

The UWE Foundry is a metaverse experience built within The Sandbox platform that aims to showcase the vibrant and collaborative environment of the University of the West of England's (UWE) Frenchay campus in Bristol.  Centred around the Foundry, a dedicated incubation venue for game development projects, global game jams, and startup initiatives, this metaverse experience allows users to virtually explore and engage with the dynamic ecosystem of the UWE campus.

The core objective of the UWE Foundry metaverse is to provide an immersive, digital counterpart to the university's physical facilities, empowering students, developers, and entrepreneurs to collaborate, ideate, and showcase their work in a cutting-edge, virtual setting.

2. Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) Metaverse

Designed by students: Chan King Hung, Ma Ngo Tim, Low Kin Shing

Many Hong Kong secondary students, particularly those with lower academic performance, face challenges in choosing their career paths. They often feel overlooked and lost about their future careers, leading to a lack of direction and confidence in decision-making.

To address this issue, our VPET metaverse seeks to provide a more engaging and informative platform for secondary students in Hong Kong. By offering the interactive gaming experience in the VPET metaverse, we aim to empower students to make well-informed choices about their future careers.

3. Learning Resources Centre (LRC) Metaverse
Designed by student: YAU Hei Tung Janice

The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is a metaverse experience built within The Sandbox platform, designed to provide users with an immersive, virtual representation of the university's library facility on the 7th floor of the DILWL campus.

The primary goal of this project is to enable users to explore and interact with the library's resources and services in a dynamic, gamified environment. By walking through the virtual library, users can experience first-hand how the physical space is designed and organised and engage with interactive game quests that showcase the various learning and research capabilities available to students.

4. Metaverse Innovation Centre, HKIIT (Sha Tin)

Designed by students: FONG Hin Wing, LI Wing Yan, NG Suet Sin, WONG Kap Fat

This project is a metaverse experience developed for the newly developed HKIIT Metaverse Innovation Centre at IVE Shatin Campus.

The experience allows users to explore the new facility through an immersive, virtual environment built within The Sandbox metaverse platform.

The experience's core focus is demonstrating how learning and teaching can be facilitated in a digital, metaverse setting. Users can navigate through the virtual campus, encountering a series of interactive game quests highlighting digital media technology's diverse applications in education.
